- Hi,
- I'm booting with the latest netbsd cv64 console kernel (the standard
- kernel does a bus error right after checking the cv64). I would now like
- to get the console to work using my graphics card display rather than the
- built-in chipset. I have added the line for ttye5 to my /etc/ttys file
- and I have done a mknod for ttye5. I have also made a grfmodes file and
- run grfconfig for /dev/grf5 (which I assume to be my cybervision board).
- I get a message now saying that ttye5 is not configured. I would like to
- know how to configure ttye5 and how to tell the system that I would like to
- start up with my console using this device. Any help will be appreciated!
- Also, is the above-mentioned bus-error during boot normal if you have a
- cv64?
-
- Thanks,
- Dan Oberlin
